Request or Sponsor At KPC, we have been taking prayer requests since the 24-hour prayer vigil began in 1985. Before every prayer shift, before every puja or prayer ceremony, before every group practice and anytime in between, the names from the prayer book are read with the intention that the prayers we say will benefit the prayer recipients and all sentient beings. At the end of our prayers, we dedicate the merit to seal the blessing. You are welcome to request prayers at any time for any reason by using this link or by e-mailing prayers@tara.org or by visiting our prayer centers in Maryland and Arizona and writing your requests in the Prayer Request Book. Sponsoring prayer takes that one step further with an exchange of energy. When prayer is sponsored, the sponsor is in effect saying, “I wish to ensure that this effort continues by making a financial offering so that the doors can stay open.” You become our partner by making it possible, literally, that there is a place for the prayers to be said. Your prayer request will be sent to our centers in Maryland and Sedona and included in the next daily practice at each temple. It will be read aloud before the practice and by each individual participating in the 24 hour prayer vigil. |
